Over the years, we have tried many different foods, always searching to find one that we thought was best for our puppies and dogs. You may remember that a few years ago, there was a problem with certain brands of pet food that actually caused several dog and cat deaths. As you can imagine, this caused a lot of heartache for breeders and pet owners alike. This led to an extensive nationwide pet food recall. Fortunately, Mistibleu was unaffected by this recall. As proactive, progressive breeders, we decided to do some research about exactly what caused the recall, then looked for an alternative so that this would not happen to us.
Our research led us to try out Life’s Abundance Dog Food. It is veterinarian formulated food to help dogs achieve optimum health. They also maintain strict inventory controls to ensure the quality and safety of their food (to avoid food recalls, pet illness, etc.) The benefits of this food are a proprietary blend of vitamins and minerals, high quality protein from chicken meal for strong muscles, an antioxidant system including viatmins A, C, and E, a selection of nutritious vegetables and fruits, Omega-3 fatty acids for healthy skin and a shiny coat, calcium and phosphorus for healthy teeth and strong bones, and dietary fiber to help maintain a healthy digestive tract. We have always (and still do) used a puppy food during the puppies’ weaning process. One thing we were noticing was that our puppies - even the very small ones - would rather eat the Life's Abundance than their puppy food. We have always let our Yorkies decide what food they like. Since Yorkies tend to be prone to Hypoglycemia, it is extremely important to find a food that they will readily and eagerly eat. As a result of our experience, our dogs now exclusively eat Life's Abundance dog food.
